In answer to discount stores that have been offering generic drugs at $4 for a 30-day supply, Sav-Mor Drug Stores has launched a Prescription Rewards Club and medication review program at its 65 participating stores. The Michigan-based chain said that not only is it going to offer more than 300 generic drugs at $4 for a 30-day supply and $11.99 for a 90-day supply, but also it will give free one-on-one consultations to patients. What's more Sav-More will offer savings on 5,000 brand-name and generic prescriptions and a 20% discount on all Quality Choice private-label merchandise in its stores. All it takes is for customers to join its rewards club at a one-time fee of $10.
