The next Total Pharmacy Solutions Summit is just around the corner, set to take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 9 AM to 3 PM. This highly-anticipated event, focusing on leveraging technology to increase pharmacy revenue, is a can’t-miss day of learning for independent pharmacists.
The day will kick off with a keynote session delivered by Steve Postal, JD, director of policy and regulatory affairs at the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA). Postal will focus on recent developments in pharmacy law, legislation, regulation, and advocacy, and touch on topics such as PBM reform, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

Maimuna Bruce Uzzell, PharmD, MBA, MS, manager of pharmacy advocacy and regulatory affairs at Outcomes will present a visionary view of evolving independent pharmacy practice, delving into workflow solutions and telepharmacy.
Stephen Barnes, BA, MA, director of sales and marketing at BestRx Pharmacy Software will dicsuss why it’s crucial for pharmacists to both streamline their workflow and optimize their pharmacy operation.
Tyler Woods, PharmD, district manager at VMC Pharmacy Program, Ajay Mehra, CFO of UGO Rx, and Scott Cady, PharmD, pharmacist owner of Chillicothe Family Pharmacy will engage in a roundtable discussion focused on taking back control of the pharmacy and maximizing opportunities to improve independent pharmacist’s stores.
The day will also feature 2 continuing education sessions worth up to 2.0 CE credits, free for day-of attendees. The first CE session, led by Lucas Berenbrok, PharmD, MS, associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, is focused on pharmacogenomics and commonly prescribed medications in primary care; the second will be led by Joshua Neumiller, PharmD, professor of pharmacotherapy at Washington State University and focuses on continuous glucose monitoring and moving beyond HbA1c for diabetes management.
