Healthcare report card provides data on quality of hospital care, mortality rates at hospitals in New York and New Jersey.
Consumers and employers in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area have a new tool for evaluating the region's hospitals and managed care plans: the New York Regional Health Care Report Card. Compiled by the New York State Health Accountability Foundation, the report card contains information on the cost and quality of care received by members of managed care plans and the quality of care, mortality rates, length of stay, and cost of care given to hospital patients. The report card includes 27 measures of quality care for New York health plans and 22 for New Jersey health plans. Measures are grouped within the categories of Customer Satisfaction, Medical Care, Mental Health, Staying Healthy, Youth Care, and Youth Wellness.
