What to Expect at Outcomes 2024 SYNC National Conference

Independent pharmacists are some of the most accessible health care professionals and provide essential services to patients within their community. It is no secret that these pharmacists have dealt with various challenges over the past several years, from burnout and staffing shortages to volatile economic conditions and shrinking profit margins.
As the largest technology provider for independent pharmacies in the US, Outcomes is working to help alleviate some of those challenges. Drug Topics recently sat down with Jude Dieterman, CEO of Outcomes, to discuss the value and uniqueness of the company in the pharmacy market, what’s next on the horizon, and the upcoming Outcomes 2024 SYNC National Conference.
“I think one of the unique things we've done is we brought the technology enablement around a pharmacy,” Dieterman said. “Today, we have about 48,000 pharmacies across the US and Puerto Rico that connect with one of our platforms at Outcomes…Our pharmacists see a patient 9 to 10 times a month versus a doctor once every 3 months. They can actually intervene and bring clinical services down. So, we contract with payer, we contract with pharma, and bring programs down and no one's doing it at our size and scale today.”
At the Outcomes 2024 SYNC National Conference, professionals from pharmacy, chains, and health plans will come together to collaborate on a path for healthier patient outcomes. The event will feature over 40 sessions, multiple exhibitors, expert speakers, and several continuing education programs.
“Hopefully it’s going to be a great collaboration of learning…” Dieterman said. “We have some keynote speakers and panels that will be cross functional—not just directly what it looks like to be a pharmacist, but what is a payer looking to do, and how does a pharmacist help, and vice versa…That's what I'm excited about, not just the tech side, but really the models, how we can work together, how do we make a better outcome for the patient's journey?”
The Outcomes 2024 SYNC National Conference is taking place February 22-24 at the World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida.
