Bruce Kneeland: Anything else you think you’d like to share about Melrose Pharmacy that other pharmacy owners or even industry people should know about independent pharmacies?
Theresa Dickinson, RPh: I believe that independent pharmacy owners should have business coaching, like know that it’s available for them, utilize it. I know that I was a wreck when I first started. I even had the telephones turned off because I didn’t pay the bill because it was lost in a pile two feet thick on my desk. Once I got business coaching involved and learned how to delegate it definitely made me a different person. I delegate so much now that I spend a lot of time at home with my newborn, so I think it’s very important that independent pharmacies know that they can lean on someone and there’s people to help them improve their processes and to be a better pharmacy owner.
