Watson Pharmaceuticals is recalling one lot of 75 mcg/hr Fentanyl Transdermal System patches because patches leaking fentanyl gel have been detected. The recalled patches are from Lot #92461850 and have an expiration date of Aug. 31, 2009. Exposure to fentanyl gel could lead to respiratory depression and possible overdose. Fentanyl Transdermal System patches are used to manage persistent, moderate to severe chronic pain requiring around-the-clock opioid administration.
