Erin Cutler, a Marion County woman who is already suing Walgreens after allegedly finding demeaning comments attached to her prescriptions in the section reserved for patient information, has added a "failure-to-warn" count to the lawsuit. Cutler claims that a Walgreens pharmacy did not warn her that her bipolar medication decreases the effectiveness of her birth control. Cutler is pregnant and must stop taking the mood stabilizer Trileptal (oxcarbazepine, Novartis) because the drug can harm a fetus. A Walgreens spokesman said the company would not comment on pending litigation.
