A new report from Decision Resources, a Waltham, Mass., market research firm, found that Florida leads the pack with the most untreated Type 2 diabetics who also have drug coverage. Other states that are also high on the list are West Virginia and Maine, which have the greatest Type 2 diabetes prevalence as a percent of their population. The authors point out that these findings show where the toughest healthcare challenges and the greatest opportunities for drugmakers are.
