Monica Mahoney, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDP, FCCP, FIDSA, FIDP, and Joseph Mann, MSN, FNP-C, discussed how streamlining the process of testing and prescribing could save time and energy for both pharmacies and patients.
The faster we can test and diagnose, the faster we can treat. That is the main point of the session Capturing the Opportunity: One-Step Test to Treat in Pharmacies presented by Monica Mahoney, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDP, FCCP, FIDSA, FIDP, and Joseph Mann, MSN, FNP-C at the July 2023 Total Pharmacy Solutions Summit.
"The whole idea about a one-stop shop, where a patient with upper respiratory symptoms can be evaluated, tested, and potentially recieve a diagnosis and treatment under one roof is obviously very attractive from a patient convienence perspective," said Mann. "The last thing you want to do when you're sick is jump through all these hurdles."
Streamlining all of those steps into one stop could make the lives of customers much easier.
