AmerisourceBergen Drug Corporation (ABDC) will hold its annual independent community pharmacy tradeshow, ThoughtSpot 2013, from July 24-27, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
About 250 exhibitors are scheduled to participate. More than 30 educational sessions will be offered, including courses on specialty pharmacy, medication adherence, pharmacy-based immunizations, and pharmacy safety.
“Our commitment to independent community pharmacy is stronger than ever,” said A.J. Caffentzis, ABDC’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “ThoughtSpot provides an opportunity for our pharmacy customers to network and learn about new tools and services that can help them increase their revenue and better serve their patients. With all that is currently facing our customers, shrinking reimbursements, increasing competition, and uncertainty with healthcare reform, such opportunities are more important than ever before.”
This year will also feature a daylong professional development course for pharmacy technicians and front-end staff. Additionally, entertainer Bret Michaels is scheduled to perform.
