Regular vitamin users are significantly more likely to be Republican than Democrat, according to a recent study, conducted by TABS Group, a Shelton, Conn.-based marketing consulting firm, and TNS, a research company. The survey found that 50% of Republicans claimed to purchase at least three types of supplements versus only 43% of Democrats. Republicans are twice as likely as Democrats or Independents of being very heavy users of the category, defined as purchasing at lest six supplement types (8% for Republicans vs. 4% for Democrats and Independents).
