“We are pleased to welcome our new board members as we look forward to the valuable contributions that their experience will bring to the SPCB board and to the specialty pharmacy industry in general,” said Nick Calla, SPCB president, RPh, CSP. “Their knowledge and perspectives will help SPCB reinforce the vital role of the specialty pharmacist and strengthen the Certified Specialty Pharmacist credentialing program.”
SPCB’s 2014 officers are president, Nick Calla, RPh, CSP, VP, industry relations, Community Specialty Pharmacy Network; vice president, Ray Tancredi, RPh, MBA, CSP, VP, specialty pharmacy development, Walgreens; secretary/treasurer, George Zula, RPh, MBA, CSP, VP, operational programs and solutions, US Bioservices; and immediate past president, Gary Rice, RPh, MS, MBA, CSP, VP, clinical services, Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy.
Additionally, Stacey Jassey, PharmD, CSP, joins the board as certified specialty pharmacist director; Kathy D. Webster, PharmD, PhD, joins as education director; and Kathy Puglise, MSN/ED, BSN, RN, CRNI, joins as the nurse director.
Other 2014 SPCB board members are Donald Filibeck, PharmD, MBA, CSP; Gaurang J. Gandhi, PharmD, MHA, CSP; Sandra Matsumoto, RPh, CSP; William Bunn, MD, JD, MPH; and Jeffrey Bourret, PharmD, MS, BS, RPh, BCPS, FASHP.
