Since its home state has no pharmacy school, Community Pharmacies is offering a one-year scholarship to a Maine resident attending the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. The scholarship covering the winner's final year of tuition is currently worth about $25,000. An Augusta, Ga.-based chain of eight stores founded by a group of pharmacists in 1998, Community Pharmacies plans to open two more stores this year.
