Access to diabetes self-management education and support services are crucial for improving diabetes outcomes.

Diabetes self-management education and support services (DSMES) can improve a variety of outcomes for patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, but not all patients have access to DSMES services equally. A selection of abstracts presented at the American Diabetes Association 84th Scientific Sessions, held June 21 to 24, 2024 in Orlando, Florida, reviewed DSMES services and how access can be improved.
