Sanofi-Aventis has voluntarily recalled 30 batches of syringes containing the anticoagulant Lovenox (enoxaparin), because of a problem related to the syringe-filling process. The company said the recalled syringes may contain too much of the active ingredient enoxaparin.

Sanofi-Aventis has voluntarily recalled 30 batches of syringes containing the anticoagulant Lovenox (enoxaparin), because of a problem related to the syringe-filling process. The company said the recalled syringes may contain too much of the active ingredient enoxaparin. The recalled batches were filled at a single facility and delivered to countries in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Enoxaparin is sold under the name Clexane in some countries. The firm stressed that enoxaparin is not the subject of the recall.
