Pennsylvania authorities are cracking down on on-line pharmacies that sell prescription drugs for no medically necessary reason. The latest cyber pharmacy to run afoul of the law is Rx Medical One. Several physicians associated with the site have been indicted for indiscriminately ordering drugs without seeing the patients first. Also indicted is pharmacist Alexander Atchildiev of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., who was accused of shipping the drugs through Universal Pharmacy Solutions without first verifying that the prescriptions were legitimate. Atchildiev could not be reached for comment.
