In a discussion exploring the RxCash+ tool for pharmacies, Kristen Hartzell, PharmD, Vice President of Clinical Services with RedSail Technologies, joined Drug Topics to discuss the tool and how it can help pharmacy owners increase revenue and give themselves and their employees time back in their days.

Hartzell explained that the program more intuitively addresses market fluctuations that can result in a significant burden on pharmacy staff who are manually managing this subset of their business. “The program is focused on being able to drive additional revenue into the pharmacy. That’s really what the basis is. We want to make sure that [pharmacies are] profitable, maintaining competitiveness in the marketplace for cash prescriptions. All of the algorithm modeling as well as the dashboards and data will have a heavy focus on ensuring profitability,” Hartzell continued. This is in addition to the program identifying applicable rebates—which are shared with the pharmacies—and applicable copay assistance programs, which support prescription affordability for patients.

According to RedSail Technologies, the RxCash+ tool has helped pharmacies with over 200 claims a month achieve an average of $1,700 return on investment every month. In the first 6 months of the program, enrolled pharmacies have seen $677,000 overall net program impact.
