The Office of Inspector General (OIG) has entered into a SettlementAgreement and Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) with LincareHoldings and its subsidiary Lincare Inc. Lincare providesrespiratory care, infusion therapy, and medical equipment topatients in the home. The settlement resolves allegations thatLincare paid illegal kickbacks and violated the PhysicianSelf-Referral Law (also known as the Stark Law).
OIG settles case with Lincare Holdings
The Office of Inspector General (OIG) has entered into a Settlement Agreement and Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) with Lincare Holdings and its subsidiary Lincare Inc. Lincare provides respiratory care, infusion therapy, and medical equipment to patients in the home. The settlement resolves allegations that Lincare paid illegal kickbacks and violated the Physician Self-Referral Law (also known as the Stark Law). The combined settlements provide for the company to pay a total of just over $12 million to the government, without any admission of wrongdoing by the company.
