NACDS releases a document stating its position on healthcare reform
he National Association of Chain Drug Stores has come out with an official position on healthcare reform. The Principles of Healthcare Reform lists 11 bulleted items that NACDS supports. Among them are the following: NACDS opts for a combination of private and public insurance programs, rather than a single-payer model, and patients should have the right to choose where to get their prescriptions filled. NACDS revealed its principles at a Senate Finance Committee hearing titled “Seizing the New Opportunity for Health Reform” this week.
