Waters Corp. has announced the release of its MassTrak Immunosuppressant Kit for monitoring tacrolimus blood levels in kidney and liver transplant patients. The new kit offers a complete solution for centers wishing to perform tacrolimus therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) and combines the use of the company's liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry systems and clinical service and support. According to Waters, the kit is the first to receive FDA approval with appropriate calibrators and controls necessary to enable labs to generate high-quality reproducible data. That kit will be available this fall.
