A court had granted Medicaid providers a preliminary injunction against the proposed cuts.
While pharmacists in some states have not been able to stave off cuts to their Medicaid drug reimbursement rates, those in Mississippi may have dodged a bullet for now. A court had granted Medicaid providers a preliminary injunction against the proposed cuts. At the same time, the Medicaid agency in Mississippi said it is withdrawing its proposed rules, which would have cut overall reimbursement to pharmacy providers by 5% effective Aug. 6. The agency added that it will come out with a "solution that will be more palatable and fair" to the state's medical service providers. So stay tuned.
