Partly based on its support of medication adherence efforts, Merck & Co. Inc. received the National Community Pharmacists Association’s (NCPA) 2013 Corporation Recognition Award.
The award was announced during NCPA’s 115th Annual Convention and Trade Exposition in Orlando.
“Merck is improving the quality of life for millions of people throughout the world and has a long-standing, substantive relationship with NCPA that goes back over a century,” said Donnie Calhoun, NCPA president. “Merck is a very deserving recipient of the [award], and we hope to continue our strong relationship in the future.”
For the past two years, Merck has been the sole sponsor of NCPA’s Adherence Institute. The company has also partnered with NCPA’s Pharmacists Advancing Medication Adherence initiative.
