Patients eligible for but not yet enrolled in Medicare Part D can continue to receive medications through Eli Lilly's LillyAnswers patient assistance program through the end of the year. To continue to receive the drugs, patients must have been enrolled in LillyAnswers as of last December. Lilly has asked the Inspector General for a legal opinion on its proposal to extend assistance beyond the end of the year to Medicare patients taking Forteo (teriparatide [rDNA origin] injection) or Zyprexa (olanzapine).
