Davenport, Iowa-based Kaplan University announced that it will offer its pharmacy technician certification program on-line. The yearlong program is designed to prepare students to work in entry-level pharmacy positions and will include training in pharmacy calculation, pharmacology, and community and health-system pharmacy practice. Kaplan University currently offers more than 75 academic programs and counts more than 26,000 students on-line and in the classroom. Kaplan joins a handful of schools, including Scranton, Pa.-based Penn Foster Career School, that offer on-line certification programs for technicians.
