Good Neighbor Pharmacy will endow a chair in entrepreneurial pharmacy practice at the University of the Pacific in California.
University of the Pacific's Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Stockton, Calif. This faculty chair position will allow the school to offer more courses in entrepreneurship. The school graduates approximately 200 pharmacy students yearly. Good Neighbor Pharmacy, an AmerisourceBergen program, is a network of nearly 2,800 independently owned and operated community pharmacies. "This generous gift and the program it supports will allow us to meet our students' needs to obtain education in entrepreneurial practice, which will ultimately lead to better consumer service and patient care," said Phillip Oppenheimer, dean of the school of pharmacy and health sciences.
