Students can gain work experience assisting pharmacists with prescriptions and answering patient questions.
CVS Pharmacy is partnering with Gatlin Education Services to allow students to gain work experience assisting pharmacists with prescriptions, answering patient questions, and doing administrative work. Gatlin offers its pharmacy technician program at hundreds of community colleges and universities.
"The pharmacy technician certificate program is one of our most popular offerings," Mark Lamkin, executive director of Gatlin Education Services, said. "The added benefit of having a valuable internship [at CVS Pharmacy] will continue to put Gatlin students a step ahead in the job market."
