On June 25, the FDA began enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) regulations for dietary supplements. Some manufacturers have been promoting the fact that they meet the new standards. For instance, Pharmavite LLC, manufacturer of Nature Made vitamins, announced that it is compliant with all the guidelines now. The GMPs mandate comprehensive rules defining the procedures and controls for virtually every aspect of U.S. dietary supplement manufacturing, packaging, and labeling.
