New board members are helping to keep our publication great.
It is an honor-and a pleasure-to welcome two new members to our Editorial Board. They join a venerable group.
Lisa Holle, PharmD, BCOP, FHOPA, is Associate Clinical Professor at the UConn School of Pharmacy and Associate
Lisa HolleProfessor at the UConn School of Medicine. She practices at the UConn Health Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she works in a team-based ambulatory care clinic. Dr. Holle, is a frequent contributor, and recently wrote CE articles on oral anti-cancer medications and (in this issue) the pharmacist view on a new CDC guideline for prescribing opioids for chronic pain. In her spare time, Dr. Holle enjoys running, reading, spending time with her family, and watching her kids’ soccer games and gymnastic meets.
Michael Cohen, RPh, MS, ScD (hon.), DPS (hon.), FASHP, is President of the Institute for Safe
Michael CohenMedication Practices (ISMP), a non-profit healthcare organization that specializes in understanding the causes of medication errors and providing error-reduction strategies to the healthcare community, policy makers, and the public. He is also editor of Medication Errors (American Pharmaceutical Association), and serves as co-editor of the ISMP Medication Safety Alert. Michael is one of the nation’s leading experts on medication-error prevention and patient safety. We look forward to presenting updates from ISMP on topics such as medication safety alerts and root cause analyses of medication errors.
We would also like to thank three long-serving editorial board members-Drs. Anna Garrett, Salvatore Giorgianni, and Jack Rosenberg- who are retiring from our active Board and who will join our emeritus Board. All three have served this publication with great distinction.
