Take responsibility for safe disposal of Rx drugs
From 10 am to 2 pm that day, consumers can take their unneeded medications to a collection site. The service is free and anonymous.
The DEA-coordinated sites will accept tablets, capsules, and all other solid dosage forms of unwanted medication. Pills can be emptied directly into bins or the medicine bottles can be handed over to collection-site officials. Consumers can either black out the personal information on labels or remove them.
During the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Days, an estimated 4.1 million pounds of unwanted medications have been collected.
