CPESN Names 2023 Outstanding Network Facilitator

Garner, North Carolina—CPESN USA, a clinically integrated, nationwide organization of pharmacy networks created to advance community-based pharmacy practice, announced Angelina Tucker, PharmD, as the recipient of the CPESN Outstanding Network Facilitator Award for 2023. The award is sponsored by Compliant Pharmacy Alliance.

Tucker is the Managing network Facilitator for CPESN Texas, a network of nearly 200 independent community-based pharmacies and one of the largest in CPESN USA.

“CPESN USA is successful because of strong leaders in local networks. Network Facilitators play a vital role in the success of each local network and the community pharmacies within,” said Cody Clifton, PharmD, director of practice transformation and clinical programs for CPESN USA. “Angelina Tucker is an exceptional leader who is committed to community pharmacy’s success and is very deserving of this recognition.”

Tucker is a clinical pharmacist for Best Value Pharmacies a locally owned independent pharmacy chain of 12 pharmacies based in Fort Worth. In addition to her work with CPESN Texas and Best Value Pharmacies, Tucker remains passionate about helping pharmacies connect with minority patients within the diverse communities that they serve. She has been leading an effort called Community Connected which is facilitating the ways local pharmacies can share best practices and unique approaches for successfully providing patient-centered services to diverse patients where they live, work, play, and pray. Tucker and CPESN USA have plans to expand this initiative in 2024.

CPESN Networks continue to expand across the country with 49 local networks in 43 states plus the District of Columbia. Over 8,500 pharmacy providers have emerged and joined the movement to provide patients, physicians, and payers with enhanced medication-use and patient-care services that have been proven to improve patient health and lower health care costs.
