Celebrity to promote patient assistance clearinghouse

Talk show host Montel Williams has been named the national spokesman of the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA), a patient assistance program clearinghouse launched by the PhRMA last April. Williams, who is well known for his work with charitable and patient organizations, will appear in national TV ads and public service announcements for PPA and will appear with a bus in several cities across the nation to promote the 475 drug assistance programs that are available to people in need.
