The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) kicked off its 43rd annual midyear clinical meeting on Sunday with the announcement that Novant Health has received the 2008 Award for Excellence in Medication-Use Safety from the ASHP Research and Education Foundation.
But there was much more that helped kick off the first day of the conference. Speakers ranging from military professionals to healthcare gurus helped to make the event successful, said a spokeswoman.Approximately 20,000 healthcare professionals, mainly pharmacists, have gathered at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, to hear the latest trends and data in health-system pharmacy news.
