AQP sells prepacked $4 generics to independentsAffordable Quality Pharmaceuticals (AQP) has developed a new program designed to help independent pharmacies compete with the $4 generic prescription plans currently being offered by Wal-Mart and other chains. AQP?s 4BuckDrug program will provide prepackaged 30-day supply bottles of commonly prescribed dosages for more than 300 generic drugs. According to AQP, high sales volume and an efficient facility allow the company to offer the program. The company is licensed by the FDA and the state of California to repackage prescription medications from its Garden City, Calif., facility.
