AMCP issues drug purchasing guide

Managed care organization publishes free resource on how to pay for pharmaceuticals.

The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy has issued a free Guide to Pharmaceutical Payment Methods. It lays out the multiple methods used by many public and private payers to buy drugs and pay the providers who prescribe and dispense them. AMCP claims the guide is factual and does not advocate any specific recommendations. It hopes the guide will be used as a resource by industry decision-makers. To access the publication, go to
