You hold in your hands the inaugural issue of the Total Pharmacy® print edition. This quarterly publication will enhance the content published on totalpharmacy.com, a website dedicated to the independent pharmacist and pharmacy owners and operators.
This month, we focus on the state- and federal-level legislative actions that stand to affect the practice of pharmacy across the United States. From Arizona to Wyoming, legislators on both sides of the aisle are zeroing in on pharmacy benefit managers, pharmacist scope of practice, public health concerns, and the ways in which community pharmacists can make a difference.
This issue also highlights the work that 3 pharmacists are doing to help their independent pharmacies stand out in a world of retail chains. From capitalizing on the popularity of TikTok to utilizing geofencing technology, there are more opportunities than ever to bring new customers through your pharmacy’s front door.
As always, we want to hear from you. Did we miss any important legislation in your state? Has your pharmacy had success with a new marketing strategy? Do you want to share that strategy in the pages of Total Pharmacy? Email Managing Editor Lauren Biscaldi at lbiscaldi@mjhlifesciences.com to share your thoughts.
Thank you for reading.
