Wholesaler sheds pharmacy staffing business
Cardinal Health has sold its pharmacy staffing business to Soliant Health. The wholesaler's pharmacy staffing unit provides temps and direct hires for retail and hospital pharmacies and other practice settings out of four locations-Boston; West Palm Beach, Fla.; Houston, Texas; and Irvine, Calif. The acquired property will be renamed Soliant Health. A spokeswoman for Soliant Health said Cardinal Health's clients can expect business as usual under the new ownership. Going forward, Soliant hopes to offer enhanced services to these clients. While pharmacy staffing was a non-core business of Cardinal Health, it is the sole concern of Soliant Health, which serves hospitals and other providers and is a unit of MPS Group, Jacksonville, Fla.
