QS/1, a healthcare solutions provider, has partnered with American Associated Pharmacies (AAP) to help its independent pharmacy members improve their buying power and better compete with larger competitors.
Through this collaboration, pharmacies that use QS/1’s Pharmacy Management Solutions and are an AAP member will be able to take advantage the program, which allows AAP to collect and analyze pharmacy data and subsequently provide AAP members with a set of daily activities to achieve 5 star ratings performance levels.
Pharmacists must be proactive to improve Medicare Part D Star ratings
“With this partnership, QS/1 customers who are part of American Associated pharmacies will gain access to a whole suite of profit-maximizing services,” said Rob McMahan, PharmD, president of United Drugs. “AAP’s Quality Center analyzes pharmacy claims on a daily basis to provide pharmacies with actionable steps to improve [Medicare] Star Ratings. These enhancements were made to help AAP member pharmacies further boost its superior level of customer service and provide the ultimate patient care.”

Collection payments from third parties will also be easier with AAP’s new partnership. “ClaimGuard will automatically submit and track MAC appeals for most PBMs to take the burden off of the pharmacy staff,” said McMahan.
AAP independents can contact QS/1 to ensure they take advantage of their Pharmacy Management System.
